Friday: We headed up to Walton, NY to tent camp at Bear Spring Mountain for the weekend. Once set up, and once the dogs were settled (Marlow on a staked leash, and Tyson, in the van "no thanks-ing" camping outside), we had a hummus dinner, and watched Hotel Artemis on T's iPad, propped on our knees, before sleep.
Saturday: Went for a nice hike around the lake after a gas range-fired bagel breakfast. It was a nice, doable length walk for me and both dogs, and Teresa and I got cute some cute pics of all. After cleaning everyone up, T made a great lunch (impossible burgers), and then she did some watercolor while I napped in her hammock. We also played Scrabble at our picnic table. Dinner was a different "sloppy joe" kind of meal with the rest of the burger and some onions. At night we watched Phantom Menace in the van, then headed to bed in the tent.
Sunday: Woke up through the night as rain came into the tent, getting the pillows and Teresa wet. I didn't realize the extent of this until light. Our morning was somewhat grimly quiet, as we packed up and left in something of a rush, but in the end, I think there was pride in the accomplishment that, through whatever difficulty, dammit, we did it!
