T came up for the Wednesday night Pedro Sauer seminar, and as an early bday present, I gifted her her very first gi and belt, to wear to the seminar. She'd thought a seminar might be a "chairs and powerpoint" situation, so was surprised to need the gi, much less sit in what was otherwise a giant jiu jitsu class, but we got her all oriented without issue. This was the first time she saw me in, and met, the larger jiu jitsu community. Also the first time she met Pedro Sauer, of course. All in all, she did great, considering how overwhelming such a situation could be!
