Our "technical first date" was on Friday, and was an online date, during which I made chili while on camera, and the conversation was full of smiles on both ends.
Today was the next day, Saturday. During the day, T sent me a pic from Jones Beach on Long Island, where she'd gone with a friend. I texted her:
G: "My chili's so good, come try it!"
T: "Ha! You're worth the 2+ hr drive from Long Island 😉
T: "I have to admit... I don't remember our entire conversation. I was distracted by your eyes. That's why I asked you to repeat yourself a few times. Sorry not sorry lol"
And, to my surprise she actually came over!
On this, our first "real" in-person date, Teresa made cornbread to compliment my chili. We ate outside, then enjoyed the sunset from the gazebo. Conversation flowed the whole time! We wrapped up the date with a hot tub. It could not have been more picturesque, and all-around fantastic. 10/10 first date! I'm so glad she was so surprisingly spontaneous about coming up!!
