My father and Susan visited CT on a trip they were taking to MA, and T very considerately offered to make a pasta meal conducive to his recent tooth woes, which all very much appreciated.
A few days later, Lydia came up for a weekend visit, on which she wanted to try a judo class, and then go to a horror fest we had tickets for. She had a great class, but an unfortunate fall, when she was playing "versus mode" lightly with her partner, after which her knee was pretty badly injured.
I mustered an impromptu visit with my physical therapist friend, who opened his practice on a Saturday just to see Lydia! We got her crutches to use, and, at the horror fest, a wheelchair, which Lydia showed great resilience and great attitude through. The wheelchair even helped us cut the line at the horror fest to meet Matthew Lillard for an autograph!
