Canyon Ranch & Lopez Cabin Wknd

This long weekend was split between the Woods and Lopez's.

We started at Canyon Range, as guests of David & Susan. This was Teresa's first introduction to them! We had massages, meals, played ping pong, restorative yoga, T got some pool time, and we watched an intimate cabaret presentation by an old-school crooner, Harvey Granat, with some real credits to his name.

Next we headed to a cabin T had rented for her family to get together in Tannersville, PA. This would be the first time I met her father and brother!

The first night, T made pasta with "meat" sauce for everyone, then we watched Sleepaway Camp.

The next day, we made our own signs at a super cool little letterpress shop. Then we went to a train museum, which Noel was super into, then grabbed lunch at a (slowly serving) little vegan eatery we found. After lunch, we hit an amusement park near Camelback Mountain Lodge, where we had a great time, and got lots of pictures. Exhausted, everyone retired back to the lodge for the night, where Teresa heroically prepared empanadas (including vegan ones, separately, for me) and we had a fun game of the board game Avalon, at my suggestion.

The next morning we woke up, said goodbyes and drive home.

Our drive back, after seeing our respective families, featured some good crucial communication that I think we were both satisfied and relieved to discover about each other and ourselves as a couple, regarding our prospective future.
